Bread, Aberdeen

The house is perfumed with treacle. Inspired by the sublime honey-treacle bread at the Irish banquet at the Oxford Symposium, I have baked soda bread tonight. It's still too hot to eat, but it smells wonderful.

As a break from grading, I've gone through the first few of my Aberdeen photos. They are grey, grey, and grey. That was all the greyness of the trip, however. The rest of the time we had utterly clear blue skies and warm, clement weather; but I haven't uploaded those photos yet.
