Medieval Embroidery Cake

Remember the Bayeux Embroidery Cake? L. made a medieval embroidery-themed cake for the wedding this weekend.



I. researched medieval field tents to do the best possible job of correctly recreating its structure, in miniature, as a cake-topper.



The hunter ventures into the forest.





Wild boar graze in the depths of the forest





A feast! Note the boar's head on the table.



It is so grand a feast that it overspills on to the next panel. That's a beer barrel off to the side.

That is AMAZING! I'm squeeing with delight over the wild boar. Why don't more wedding cakes have wild boar on them??

Yes, it does taste good. L. makes a very tasty fruit cake. (We have over half of it left.)
