Fire and science fiction

Here's what C did tonight: he burned things - old bits of Christmas trees, new logs. With our grilled meats and vegetables, we had salads - fennel and broad beans, couscous with raisins, peppers, and cucumbers. We trying grilling long white radishes, but they still mostly tasted of radish. I don't dislike them; it's more a steady indifference.

Tomorrow is the SFF/BSFA mini-convention and AGM, an event for which I have been preparing my different metaphorical masks. Details are here.

Long white radish pickles a lot better than it grills.
