In search of time

I have misplaced my watch. I'm generally a watch-dependent person, so I've wandered around feeling incomplete today. At least I know I lost it in the apartment. I had it first thing this morning, but couldn't find it, even after half an hour of searching, before leaving the house for the afternoon.

Congratulations to pittenweem and cwjat for passing the latin exam! Hurray!

Other good news: my sister has accepted a job with the bureau which had been courting her over the last several days. They really want her and she thinks the position would suit her well. All's good.

Ack, my watch broke over a year ago and I never bothered to get a new one. I've actually been able to get on quite well without it, surprisingly.

But this would be the perfect time to bring out one of those cool medieval time-pieces you've got! Jewelry saves the day! :)

Timetelling
Good point! As long as the skies are clear and I can see celestial bodies, I'll be set.

But still... my watch isn't broken, merely misplaced. I had it this morning! Hmm...

Re: Timetelling
I misplace mine all the time. It was given to me by my older brother and sister when I got my Bachelor's from U of T, and the date of my convocation is on the back. Actually it's one day off. Also actually I've how so much of the watch replaced over the past several years the engraved back is the only original part of the watch left.

Yay for your sister! What lovely news.

I wore a watch religiously for years, when I was into sportswatches and they didn't mind water. But since then I've developed a habit of remembering to wear a watch long enough to get used to it, then forgetting to put it on for days and days in a row. I finally broke down and got one that I could clip to my wallet; as long as I never lose or forget my wallet, it has the back-up timepiece.

I keep misplacing my watch too. Every morning I wind up having to go on a hunt for it even though every night I remind myself to leave it in the same place.

Heh.

Yay Marzi!! Jobness!

Though now I REALLY wish I still lived in DC ... *sigh*

Watch and things
I'm so proud of my sister! And she's getting her MA in a few weeks.

I hardly ever lose my watch, which is why I commented on it. And I still haven't found it, which is mildly traumatic, given I'm travelling soon and will be meeting up with specific people at specific times and will need to be on time for it all!
