Fishy Circumstances

Little Italy

We bought mini-papadams in Little Italy yesterday. They're quite good and papadam-ish. You never know where you'll find a good international grocery store.

We passed by the grocery store while checking out Taste of Little Italy, a yearly event I've never made it to before. The streets were lively, but there weren't too many restaurants cooking up food samples outside the way there is at Taste of the Danforth. Instead, the restaurants and cafés were packed. There were fire jugglers, a balloons scultor, a group of pre-Caribana drummers and dancers, and a decent jazz band that we stopped to listen to. While C. consumed a Limonata from the San Pellegrino stand, we listened to the one group singing in Italian. They're a local band, and performed their own decently good pop music.
