Fishy Circumstances

Program Notes

I've been impatiently waiting to hear back from the Three Societies * program committee as to whether or not my proposed paper was accepted. They said they'd let us know by the end of February, and while it's not too much later now, it is later. I still haven't heard, but the program is now up on their website and I'm on it. As a consequence, I'll be in Halifax the first weekend in August: my first trip to the maritimes!

* Every few years, the British Society for the History of Science, the Canadian Society for the History of Science, and the History of Science Society have a joint meeting. This'll be one of them.

Venetian views

My mother is still in Venice, getting her DSL working and meeting up with Iowa farmers, so in her honor, here's a link to VeniceBlog's compilation of webcams in Venice. I wish I'd known there was a webcam of the San Tomà vaporetto stop back when any of us were still staying thereabouts!
