Flimsy Plot Device

Reviewing films

abigailb, doseybat, and I were discussing watching movies in French, to practice French. Only they need not actually be French movies, we realized, on further reflection. While dubbing misses the cues of mouth movement, it's still useful practice. This is how I now know that I have, among other things, Shaun of the Dead, The Princess Bride, Grosse Pointe Blank, and the entire extended LOTR dubbed in French. Buying DVDs in Canada may pay off in unexpected ways.

I don't think I have any movies in Latin though. doseybat did ask....
