That's not humanly possible... unless quadruplets are far more common than I thought...

Well, the "women around the world" is vague enough, that perhaps we are dealing with an international triplet/quadruplet birthing cartel. One wouldn't expect the same cartel to fare well in production in 1991, however.

Keeping up that kind of rate of production two years running seems like an unlikely expectation. The article didn't go into the production rate for any other year, however.
