My daughter's high school makes a very big deal on Pi Day. There will be much eating of pie, math games and lots of bad puns.

There are some who think that the only pun is a bad pun :-) And her teacher really likes groaners.

For me, one of the worst things about 9/11 is that afterwards I've always got this slightly scared and uncertain feeling about which way round dates should be written.

It's too bad there's no 31st of April - otherwise you could celebrate Pi day then. Or a fourteenth month of the year.

You should propose these radical alterations to the calendar. I'm sure one of those UK e-petitions on the subject would be popular.

A friend mentioned it being pi day - and then we had pie for tea (steak and kidney).
