Question from an online survey: "What are your main reasons for using the internet?"

I suppose it as the advantage of filtering out a certain percentage of people who just pick the silliest answers two surveys. There's a lot less 90 year old professional stunt women than surveys would lead you to believe.

Speaking of the Internet (and by the way, an editor told me it should be capitalized), I have a usage question for you and your readers. What do you see as the differences in meaning between "on line," and "online," if any? I am working on an exhibition titled "on Line" (it is about line in printmaking). The exhibition also addresses the ways that line permeates thinking and language. Thanks.
