Childrens' books

Today I went to the library and checked out a book by Umberto Eco, Art and Beauty in the Middle Ages. I've never read an Eco book before, but that's quite beside the point. The cover was illustrated with a reproduction of a medieval illumination, a scene of men and women working in a field. The colors were all softened greens and blues.

I came out of the library and ran into a friend who asked if I was reading a children's book (Based on the soft colors on the cover). I like the idea of Umberto Eco writing childrens' books.
