Cheetah, cupcakes, snowflake

Intlxpatr spots a pet cheetah (!)

I'm looking forward to eating too many cupcakes tonight at the Iron Cupcake competition. (I'm only eating; hungry_pixel is baking.)

Thank you for the snowflake, celandineb!

Thank you for the reminder that Iron Cupcake is tonight
*quickly mentally reorganises her plans for the next couple evenings after work, slotting in Iron Cupcake tonight*
*looks at her lunch and is glad she chose the one of the lighter options from the possibilities ;-) *

Hurrah! More people to talk to me and sample my creation! Mwaha! Look forward to seeing you.

I am almost stunned speechless at the honor of knowing you and Little Diamond visit my blog. You are so elevated and intellectual, and my thoughts are so trivial and mundane!

Re: Cheetahs
I love reading your blog! I learn so much from it. It's a part of the world I know so little about, especially in terms of what it's like to live there.

Re: Cheetahs
She is indeed, but once you've witnessed her Playmobile collection... :-)

Re: Cheetahs
I have to agree with the cheetah comments though. Any creature with a lightning chase-killbite reflex - that no amount of training can remove - whose instict is to hunt and whose natural prey is human child-size needs to stay in the wild!

Thank you for telling me about Iron Cupcake! Fab idea. I would not be able to go even if I wasn't ill, ftb WERK, but I hope some time that I'm able, cos I'd love to take some vegan cupcakes along.

As to the cheetah: gorgeous but argh. My family lived in Qatar for a while, and I'm really not surprised that a wealthy young Qatari might try to keep a cheetah as a pet. Did you read Johann Hari's recent article about Dubai? Some crossover there with a number of the Gulf states (although I substantially preferred Qatar in a number of ways).
